Just Hanging Around

I'm gecko-sitting for a friend while they're living in Europe for 2 years. I'm finding this little creature quite fascinating.

Really good photo! Did you use a flash? This weekend I was trying to take a photo of a sea urchin in the aquarium of my mother's rehab hospital, and I didn't like the results. Then one of my 365 friends posted a photo of a water plant, and he said he could not get it until he used a flash. So I tried the sea urchin again with a flash, and then it worked. So I'm just curious.

@cejaanderson Hi Jane. I didn't use a flash. The pic is a little underexposed and I probably could fix that with a higher ISO. I just wanted to catch him quick before he ran to hide.

@audreyl Yep! He's a crested gecko. I've been doing all kinds of research, learning about his species. He's a pretty interesting little fellow.

I have two...make and female..separate living quarters. I love to watch them...very interesting animals. And they are so soft and gentle. But they can JUMP...so be careful.
