Amsterdam.... the home of canals, windmills, tulips, blue and white delft pottery.... whatever - all I've wanted to see for days is a stork on a nest!
So we go to look at this old windmill, and a busload of people are snapping away at it, while I have my back turned to focus on the stork. It even posed beautifully for me :-)
PS: yes it is real - I watched it preening for several minutes; some people have fake storks on their houses - the Dutch and German equivalent of a butterfly, perhaps??
