Who Gets What?

Throughout the year I pick up gifts to have on hand so now it is decision time. There are a couple things here that I would really like to have but I keep reminding myself that the spirit of giving doesn't include giving to oneself.

Why not...... I have purchased something that both of us would like to have. I' m wrapping it, and the label will say to both of us -- From Santa! I've also done this for something I wanted, knew no one would know and get it for me.....and labeled it from Santa. Why not treat yourself?! (I also pick up things throughout the year -- already have a couple of minor items I'm saving for next Christmas.....)

I bought something for me last year and wrapped it! I let my husband help unwrap it as it was something for our home.

Wonderful selection of gifts . . . I'm sure your family and friends truly appreciate your generosity. And I think it would be TOTALLY acceptable to give to yourself in this instance. :-)

Another way to think about that is: if you collect gifts that you yourself would keep, the recipient is really getting something from YOU.
