I have just returned from a conference in Portland, Oregon. I had a couple of days for photography while I was there and am just getting around to editing my shots! What an amazing part of the country this time of year!! I wasn't expecting the vibrant fall colors. It seems to be prime time for fall this time of year near Portland! I love Colorado, but I could live in Oregon too!!
Gorgeousness Wendy! Would fave it if there was a little more height in the shot... I kinda want to see more of the green tree on the left, and a touch more sky right back at the tippy top, but a beautiful photo and you should print this one and hang it in your house!

My sister and her hubby lived in Battle Ground, WA for several years and they mentioned Multnomah Falls many times, but somehow we never got around to going there during any of my visits. :-(

FAVTASTIC!!!!! OMG I love Oregon!! Steve and i where stationed there 2 years ago right before i started this project!! Between Idaho and Oregon and Colorado I dont know which one i love the most ! This is just Fabulouse and should be in the book!! :) The colors are just wonderful and it makes mine look so meek and mild now ! Next flight out i guess to Oregon!! :)

Your shot caught my eye right away and I forgot to mention, one of my favorite things about the shot is the blanket of colorful leaves on the ground too, oh and the view from above is just a great perspective!! I could move to Oregon and probably spend the rest of my life taking photos of that amazing state, lol!! Gotta go back someday!

Fantastic! Stupendous! Man, now I wish I would have stopped the car when I was there in July. There were cars parked along the side of the highway on both sides for a quarter mile, so I just kept rolling. This is worth a trip all by itself! +fav

I decided last minute to get up early and try to get there before my flight and make it to the airport on time! I was so glad I did and definitely want to get back and spend more time hiking in this area!!
@exposure4u I also highly recommend Portland Japanese Garden if you've never been. Lots of beautiful photo ops there.I can imagine the colors are unreal at this time of year.
@claeshields for sure worth the stop...especially if you take the scenic hwy instead of 84...there are so many pretty falls along the way and also Crown Point where you have a view of the whole gorge, Wash and Oregon and the Columbia....come back again!!!
