Mendenhall Glacier by exposure4u

Mendenhall Glacier

This glacier is in Juneau, Alaska and is a 13-mile river of ice! We were able to hike in to capture the splendor of this ever-changing land form. I am always amazed by the crisp blue color of the ice. This intense blue color is the greatest after chunks of ice have fallen from the glacier, displaying the color below.
gorgeous blues and greens! What a landscape!

We spent a month camping and hiking in Alaska in 1998. What a truly incredible experience. I recall the blueness of the glaciers.

BTW thank you for your continuing support and interest in my project.
I've decided to go through the people I 'follow' and discovered that many of them are no longer active. A bit of a tidy up has reduced them to a more manageable number. Shame I can't do same with 'followers' as many of them have been inactive for many months.

Brilliant image of the glacier! I was there before I knew much about lighting or processing. This is really wonderful!
