The Sandhill Cranes are making their annual migration in the San Luis Valley in south-central Colorado. Near Monte Vista, Colorado between 18,000-20,000 birds, stop to fuel up on their way to their breeding grounds further north. I was not anticipating the beautiful song of this bird as the sun set in the valley. It was an amazing sight and sound to witness!
