My house burned down 5 years ago. This shot is taken a 10 minute drive away where a bushfire went through a few weeks ago. I am still learning to manage tragedy as I look at the beauty that survives and grows afterwards. (This is as it came out of the camera - over exposed to high key and slightly de-saturated due to that)
Firstly that is terribly sad for you, nature can be so cruel. I was up in the mountains last week where we had had bad bush back in September last year and it is amazing how quickly things grow back.
I like how you have captured the landscape here, the starkness of the shot really works.
Lastly I hope for you some good has come out of your terrible situation.
