South Shore is Angry Today

We live on an island (ferry access) and the south shore was crazy today with 50 km/hr winds. We have lived here for a year and we have never seen the water so rough. I captured this with my IPhone. I forgot to mention this is the St.Lawrence River! We look from Ontario, Canada over to New York State in the US.

Some waterways are quite large and turbulent and the St. Lawrence is not a small river! So it's not surprising to me that it can get this choppy and rough. After all tankers go down the river way!! Pretty shot- waves and all.

@maggiemae @olivetreeann Yes, it can be a little rough. We can actually see the freighters from those rocking chairs ;), but they are way over in the American Channel. I will have to try to photograph one sometime!
