What is the difference between Retro and Vintage?
Vintage" usually refers to items (clothing, cars...) which are less than 100 hundred years old, as opposed to "antique" which is used to define things made at least 100 years ago. The term "retro" denotes something associated with or revived from the past and should only be applicable to copies of vintage items.
However, in the vintage clothing trade, people often use the terms "vintage" AND "retro" (incorrectly) for clothes made in the 1940s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s and the word "antique" to refer to garments made before the 1940s.
Things made in the 1990s are not yet vintage, nor retro - they are just way out of date, as in not even old enough to be cool yet!...
Regarding Exif, some apps strip your metadata; the shot I posted today was taken with Mextures and it stripped my exif. I won't be too concerned with the exif for the challenge though; I'll take people's word for it :)
