I took a photo of this old building because I thought it had an interesting roofline and I liked the vines clinging to the side. When I got home and looked at it, I noticed the shadow from the power lines across the street. Since today is the anniversary of 9/11, I thought I would post this today.
The building currently houses an apartment upstairs with a laundromat down below. Although the bricks are lovely colors, I experimented with a little processing to accent the cross using Picasa. Is there a program to use to alter the windows? Thanks for your comments on my photos this week!
Great capture of the shadow, almost makes the building look religious. There are some neat parapets on that building as well, I like this composition, well done Kim.
Effective shot with that shadow Kim, and I do like the outline of the roof. Not sure how you would want to alter the windows. In Photoshop Elements 11 you could probably select them, turn the selection into a new layer, and darken them, alter the colour or contrast, etc.
