WOW WEE!!!!!! So now that I've become a certified (but secret) birdie twitcher and photographer, I follow a couple of sites where they get all excited over new sightings of birds that haven't been seen before. Fast forward.....according to the regular twitchers, a female Osprey has turned up in suburban Melbourne, and they have named her Eloise! And here she is!
This is now my official christening of being somebody that chases sightings of birds xx
@yrhenwr HA! Thank you David. I believe my arms are getting stronger just holding it up......and I can only do it for a short period otherwise my photos do get all blurry!
oh YES this is fabulous!! how exciting for you to see her, and get such a brilliant capture. I know I get very excited when I manage to capture new birds on my property - I've only captured and identified such a small percentage of them.
Hi Sam. Do you follow Australian Bird Photography on Facebook. Some stunning shots posted there. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1394181427470927/?fref=nf
When I came across it, I thought I would post a few but they are too good for me so now I just follow and admire everyone else's shots
Welcome to the twitching world - it's addictive!!! FAVtastic capture for your entry to this world. And I agree - and say hello to Terry @terryliv that site is great to follow - and Poppo you should post some of yours :)
Wonderful capture! We have some Osprey's breeding here in the Snowdonia National Park. They spend their winter in Africa and come back to Wale to breed and raise their chicks.
@mccarth1 That must be fantastic for you! I'm jealous you get to see them more often :)
@terryliv Hi Poppo! So nice to hear from you! I follow a couple of bird photography sites but not this one. I've just requested to join it. How are you anyway? How is the family?
@shesnapped You have me worried Ashley! It certainly is very addictive. I'm finding myself looking at the weather report for the weekend so I can plan when I can go out and look at birds!
