Rail Car Graffitti

Seen both as vandalism and art. Traveling from sea to shining sea, from one end of the land to the other. More people probably view rail car graffiti than ever see a painting in a museum. I can not determine what is written here, but liked the blending of the colors.
No one knows the rail car artists' names, their artwork is their fame.
love the colours

Cool. Most of these artist know that their work will travel all over the US and that is the point.

@fragmonster @acajuntx Thanks Jade and Alida. I took photos of several of these cars today, just liked the colors on this one the best. I may post some of the others later when I need a filler.

Great picture - as you point out a very accessable art form. I guess it's art when it enhances and vandalism when it ruins things. In Britain we have a graffiti artist - or "writer" whose tag is Banksy. Nobody knows who he is but his "work" has become very well known. A friend gave me a book showing his stuff about 5 years ago and your picture has got me to search it out and have another look.

On this one, I vote art. Seen by thousands! Wish I had that large an audience.

@zero_rhetoric @janek @meeyauw Thanks! I had been wanting to take pictures of these when I would see them pass by. Finally the perfect opportunity presented itself.
