Blue flowers from my visit to the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens last Saturday. I took several photos today, but did not like them as much as this one.
I have added a squirrel photo on my Extras page.
Thank you for viewing and commenting, it is appreciated.
So beautiful. IO like the view from above. Nigella, or love-in-the-mist, is very easy to grow by the way, at least it is here in the UK. Just get a packet of seed and scatter. Seed sown in the autumn will flower earlier in the year, but you can sow in early spring. Once you have had them in the garden and they have gone to seed you will never be without them, not even if you try to get rid of them :-) There are some darker blue varieties and soft pinks and white, but they all come out light blue after a year of self-sowing.
Sorry, once I get horticultural I get carried away!
@kellc@hjbenson@danig Thank you! @wannabe I love to go to the Botanical Gardens. Planning on going to the two garden areas in Weatherford as soon as I can coax my hubby into going.
@steeler@bkbinthecity@ladyjane@vaugdds@cimes1 Thank you!@bigsusan55 Thank you! I really appreciate the information on these flowers, I had never seen them before and had no idea what they were.
@cmuir1963 The are quite lovely. @bigsusan55 says that they are Nigella or Love in the Mist. If you read her comment about them, it will tell more about them.
