I believe this beautiful dove is a Mourning Dove. Apparently some have a blue ring around the eye and others do not, per the images I have found by "googling".

lInda, Yes, a mourning dove for sure, and a beautiful capture to boot. the best showing of the blue orbital ring that I've seen. They aren't always that pronounced and in my experience seldom so well captured. Well done. FAV
@rob257 Rob, thank you very much for your comment and the fav! I think the lighting helped to bring out the dove's colors. It was near sunset and it was sitting in the shadow of a bush.
