Thistle open

This Thistle is beginng to open up. It gives you a peek at the pretty color inside. When it opens it will look like the one in my picture of the Monarch Butterfly on a Thistle flower.

The thistle flower has the best color just after it opens, then it begins to fade (or so it seems to me). I am posting a pic of a bee on a thistle that is fully opened up and the center part looks lighter or perhaps it was the lighting.
