View large if you can. I like the way this Wood Duck was perched on the weathered wooden fence.

@grannysue Just to let you know, recently watched a show on PBS about ducks and the wood ducks have their babies up in trees in holes and toss their babies out and they fall a very long distance. I was glad to see that they had a leaf bedding to fall onto and stood up right away. Other ducks do this as well. One baby right after the other. They cannot fly yet by any means. Where did you take this photo? They sit on a concrete wall at our park and watch their mates and babies or just the babies if they are big enough to be on their own. So interesting.
@darsphotos I believe the name of it is Trinity Park. It is in Fort Worth, not far from the Trinity River and just off 7th street. Thanks for the info on how they toss their babies from the nest. I am posting another shot of one tonight, he is swimming.
