View large if you can. Had excellent photo op day. Went to see my sister and this butterfly lit on one of her plants. She has giant sunflowers also and I may post a shot of one of them.
I wanted to show the complete butterfly against the pink flower for the contrast. Should I have cropped it in closer to have the focus on it's head? You can see that it is taking a sip of the flower.

Super detail! I would not have cropped it any further...I like to see the span of butterfly wings....with just its head it would be hard to determine if it was some other type of insect!
Such a pretty butterfly. Very nice the perspective. Unfortunately I don't see butterflies in my garden; I probably need to add some flowers to attract them. My garden is mostly green and edible.
Beautiful capture- no, I wouldn't have cropped it any further. It's much better to see the full view of the wings. If anything you could make it a vertical shot instead- so that you get the full effect of the butterfly taking a sip. But it's fine as is- and looks great!
