Cock O' the Walk

This is a photo of my sister's rooster, he now has a harem of five hens. Yes, he has a really red comb, I did not saturate the photo, it did not need it. He thinks he is "all that", the ruler of the roost and yard. He will try to spur you, so I could not get closer to him. You may be able to see one of the spurs on his left foot. He is quite handsome even if he has a mean personality

I had a friend who raised chickens for a long time before she and her husband went into missions. One time when I was visiting and commented on one of her handsome roosters she told me his days were numbered. It seems he'd gone after her one too many times and she decided he was too nasty to keep. "Next week, he's dinner!" she said to me.
