Alien Fingers Reaching Out by grannysue

Alien Fingers Reaching Out

This flower looks like a Hibiscus, but the leaves are different from the Hibiscus plant / flower nearby. It looks like an alien insect reaching its little fingers out.
Thank you for viewing and commenting, it is appreciated very much.
Such a vibrant color. Your title made me giggle!

A rather exotic plant...I can imagine this flower is very typical of Texas...

@edorreandresen Thank you! I could just imagine a lady of long ago, placing one of these behind her ear.

@pattyblue @mittens Thank you! I have probably read too many books and watched too many sci-fi shows, probably what makes me see things like this, ha ha.

@sangwann It does, but the leaves of the plant were very different.

@happypat Thank you. Or perhaps Mexico, if not Texas. I could see it being put behind the ear of a young lady.

@pyrrhula Thank you, The leaves were very different from the Hibiscus plant nearby. The leaves had three to five jagged edges per stem.
