In August 2011 I decided to start a 365 Photo project. Each day I take photographs of items I find interesting, capture the essence of the moment or are just silly.
In August 2012 I completed year one of my 365 project. This upcoming year I have decided to only photograph typography. As a designer and design educator this seems an appropriate challenge.
In March 2013 I found out that I would be moving from Chicago to Baltimore for a better job opportunity. While I was excited about the new job, I was sad to leave Chicago. Because of this I decided to start a second album to journal my last few months before my move.
In June 2013 life caught up with me and I've decided to stop my 365 project. Getting married, starting a new job and moving to Baltimore has pretty much taken up 99% of my free time. While I'm a little sad that I didn't make it until August 8th, 2013 to have a full two years of the 365 project, I felt it was better to end it now than force it for 2 months just to say I made it 2 years.
Perhaps in the future I'll pick it up again, or maybe Baltimore will inspire a new photo series, but until then it's a much needed break for me.
