8.17 pm: A gruelling day at work: I left home at 1 pm for my evening shift and came home this morning at 3.15 am.
This SOOC shot was taken during my dinner break when I took a (very cold) walk around the block. The little tower on the left is the Prime Minister's office. The lights are still on because he has work to do: the Lower House has been debating about a possible Dutch police training mission in the North of Afghanistan for days. The final decision will be made after 9.30 pm.
I love this shot, it's absolutely beautiful with the lights dancing of the water. Does your Prime Minister really work in that cute little unsecured office with windows that back right up on to the canal? I so live in the wrong country.
@araminta Luckily it's not often this late! But the hours can be very antisocial.
@shantwin Yes, that's where he works! It's not a canal however but a rather large pond where no boats are allowed. There is security but not all of it is directly visible.
@catheniale It's definitely a beautiful spot.
@elisabeth Isn't that amazing?
@wietpruim They work late quite often over here. We've got a lot of parties in parliament so the debates tend to be quite lengthy.
@attraversi @laragowder I'm very lucky to work in such beautiful surroundings :)
@harvey @kirsty1975 @caatjeg @smallenburg @berg @deniseescovino Thank you all!
