11.24 am: Another silhouette shot. We went to Ikea this morning to buy a new tap for our kitchen, as our old one has started dripping. I took a shot from the car of this fly-over at Prins Claus Plein.
I liked the composition but because of the solid grey sky and subdued light the original shot was very dull. I added a little boost and cross process in Picnik and suddenly this came out.
I love this! The green almost makes me feel like it's an underwater shot. BTW, the first IKEA I went to was in Germany. The one I go to in CT is just the same...I always feel like I am back in Europe. Love the crazy carriages with 4 wheels that turn. :-)
@attraversi@araminta@lakruijf@filo13 Thank you. I love Picnik and the cross processing tool is great to enhance certain kind of shots. I usually apply it in a more subtle way but for this shot I went way out :)
@5unflow3r Thank you! And you're right, all Ikea's look the same! I think that's part of its success, people know what to expect :)
@electricwriter @viranod @jodimuli @gijsje @clarissajohal Thank you all for your comments! They are much appreciated.
@caatjeg @jeancarl @deniseescovino Thank you! The intersecting lines of the roads really make this shot.
