11.11 pm: This is the building I work in - I turned around one last time and took this shot before going to the railway station after my shift was done.
I'm fascinated by night time street photography but hardly ever get a real good shot. After reading a thread here on the forum (@islawight) I tried bumping up my ISO - according to street photographer Eric Kim a grainy picture is better than a blurry one. I have to agree with him but the amount of grain is bothering me nevertheless. Practising on...
[edit] The shot looks less grainy on here than it does in the original version :)
Great result! I am like you, a bit "afraid" of grainy aspect. When it is with others' pictures I find it beautiful, but when it is with mine, I don't like them!
@smallenburg@attraversi@orangecrush@5unflow3r Thank you! The headlights were sort of a lucky catch - the driver of the car tried to make a three point turn which took some time. I already had my camera out and set at 800 ISO so all I had to do was press the button :)
@scatcat I have exactly the same thing. I don't mind a bit of grain in other people's shots but with my own shots I have this image in mind and I get a bit disappointed if the shot doesn't turn out that exact way.
@thebluegnu Thanks! It's a police car - I agree it adds something extra to this shot.
@shantwin@clarissajohal thank you both. I liked the light on the street as well when I saw this scene. Luckily the driver needed some time to complete his three point turn :)
@andycoleborn @flygirl @lislee75 @attraversi Thank you! I am pleased to notice that this shot looks much less grainy on here than it did on my computer :)

@gijsje Dat komt door die politieauto denk ik!

@deniseescovino Thank you, that's so very kind :)
