6.14 pm: The bicycle park near Leiden Central Station. Brand new architecture next to a decaying 70s building. I had a long and quite tedious day at work and took this shot when I picked up my bike to ride home.
I haven't really felt like picking up my camera for the last couple of days. Life's been very busy and quite chaotic. Bad timing for a motivation dip as I am also participating in the July black and white challenge so need to take at least two shots a day. For today's shot see http://365project.org/halkia/themes-extra/2011-07-11
Love the way the graf matches the buildings on the left. Leiden station looks much more organised than Cambridge where bikes are heaped up - lots abandoned - and it's a complete nightmare finding a spot.
@judithg It used to be a huge mess here too - until the city council decided to make it a priority. Extra bicycle parks were constructed on either side of the station and every bike that is parked outside of those is taken away to a warehouse in the middle of nowhere. You have to pay a hefty fine to get your bike back...
Great colors! Whenever I see these shots of all the bikes I am just amazed, how do you find your bike to pick it up? And do they get locked up? Fascinating.
