8.17 pm: Our garden has a view again. It was very secluded thanks to the wild and neglected garden next door but our new neighbour stripped all of the plants and shrubs away the day before we went on holiday. A remarkable change. There's a lot more light now in our back yard and kitchen which is good but I do miss the feeling of seclusion.
