11.41 am: We've had this Newbiscus Mauvelous for several years now but this is the first time it's really flowering! Quite spectacularly too as the flowers are as large as a breakfast plate. After two days they start wilting but luckily there are a lot of buds still waiting to open. It's probably doing so well this year because we moved it from a pot to a flower bed. A very pleasant late summer surprise :)
