12.03 pm: Have you heard that joke about the family that was going on holiday to Berlin? They didn't go (yet).
After yesterday's turn of events we encountered another surprise this morning: a problem with our car that couldn't be solved the same day! Fortunately we were still in the Netherlands. I do speak German but talking about car repairs in that language would have stretched me to my limits. To cut a very long story short we had no choice but to stay another night in the hotel we ended up in yesterday.
So tomorrow we will make another effort to reach Berlin. Third time is the charm as they say.
Happily the hotel we are staying in is fantastic, for us as well as for the girls. The photo shows our younger daughter resting on one of the trampolines in the hotel playground.
