So glad spring is upon us. The markets are starting to get the new spring produce including these small carrots wrapped in bunches. I really like the color in this one, the bright orange with the darker green tops with the neighboring peas and chives.
You have chosen a subject that most would pass by - I like it. I agree with you about the colour combination. Some brown earth on the carrots would complete the image!

I do agree, some dirt from the field would have made a nice touch and add some contrast. The vegetables sold in stores and in the outdoor farmer's markets have all been cleaned up and removed all traces of where they came from. It is a shame, losing the connection to where food is produced. The old joke comes to mind that when you ask a city kid where milk comes from they will give you a odd look and say, from the carton, where else would it come from?
