After William Winchester, the inventor of the Winchester rifle, died, his widow moved to San Jose California and built this house starting in 1884 and the building did not stop until her death in 1922. It has 160 rooms and covers 6 acres. Today it is a tourist site with tours daily, worth the drive if you are in the area.
