Each year I put in a vegetable garden in the backyard. Usually I will put in a couple lemon cucumber plants. The cucumbers are usually round with a thin yellow rind. They are mild and make a great summer salad with garden tomatoes and a little bit of grated romano cheese on top. This late season cucumber ended up somewhat pear shaped, but just as tasty.
