And so here we are with the compact disc, happy 30th birthday. A digital format with portability and a better sound reproduction than the cassette. But much colder and sterile than the warm sound of vinyl. I have to admit that I do end up playing more CDs than records. CDs are much more convenient and the length of playing time is greater.
