This tile mosaic is at a elementary school in San Jose California. This type of commemmoration is not too unusual and was done when the school opened. But unfortunately not too many survive. I really like to see the subject matter on these as they usually reflect the topics of thier time, two panels are about space travel, very important due to the Apollo rockets of the 1960's.
