Bluebirds singing in the tree.
Leave have fallen, limbs are bare.
A short rest on this journey,
On their way to here and there.

Quiet enjoyment we have wrought.
Together, two lives, intertwined.
Wins, successes - each hard fought.
Losses, too, taken in kind.

Waking to the morning light
Reflected off the lake.
Rising moon bids us goodnight.
As our dreams do take.
