Early morning poppy (colour)

They blow over very quickly these poppies. The seed pod here is that of the flower I shot on Monday, just four days ago http://365project.org/helenm2016/365/2016-06-06.

I didn't notice the little flying creature until after I'd taken the shot. I thought it added something (but perhaps it's just a distraction?)
I love these flowers! Fantastic photo, the use of light in this photo is great. Fav

What an unusual colour - nice change to see a poppy which isn't red!

These are beautiful! I love the purple. Just realizing we have few purple flowers here.

@shylaine3304 @dorsethelen @karens54 @hermann @dianeburns @onewing @stefneyhart @thewatersphotos @cherrymartina @quietpurplehaze @quietpurplehaze @ziggy77 Thank you all very much for your kind comments and faves. Hugely appreciated. The poppies flowers in the garden have almost all gone now but lots of pods to ripen and self seed around the garden for next year

I don't think the insect distracts. The colours and variegation in the poppies is beautifully captured.
