On Russell Square there is a large modern hotel called Imperial Hotel. Walking through the vehicle entrance you find an array of sculptures of which this is one. Apparently they are all that remains of the Turkish baths that were part of the original 1898 hotel on this site until it was demolished in the 1960s.
Something I really value about participating in this wonderful Project 365 is that it encourages me to observe and find out about the things around me which I would otherwise not pay too much attention to.
Constructive criticism very much appreciated - keen to learn more and improve. I bought a decent camera in February 2016 and joyed this wonderful space...
In this lighting the statue is looking quite dramatic. Very nicely presented and a great POV. I agree with you so much about the observation with 365. It is such a great way to awaken interest in things.
