This is one of the staircases inside Hornsey Town Hall which is a Grade II listed building, completed in 1935. According the Wikipedia, it was the first major UK building to be constructed in the Modernist style.
Local campaigners have sadly recently dropped a fight to keep it as a publicly used space rather than redeveloped as a hotel and apartments as now planned.
Constructive criticism very much appreciated - keen to learn more and improve. I bought a decent camera in February 2016 and joyed this wonderful space...
When I saw this Helen, I thought it must be for the latest artist challenge. The style and subject would suit very well. What a shame that the listed building will no longer be able to be enjoyed by the public.
