@cejaanderson@daweenie This is the St.l Lawrence river valley area. The farmers tilled the field but they had a lot of rocks, so they piled them up into stone fences..This area then got reclaimed by the forest.. This forest is very contested, Some lady in California wants to sell and develop, and the residents want to keep it as a park. Right now it is a free dog walk. It takes about an hour to do the circle. Heavenly!
@cejaanderson@daweenie We are on the Canadian shield. Or the Precambrian shield which nestles almost all the population of Quebec. Lots of rocks deposited by 2 glacial movements way back. I live in an area which translated from french means rock bottom. I am going for another walk today. The trilliums are up.
