@777margo@mbemis@janeandcharlie The translation is pierced rock. There is a hole through the rock way at the back. It used to have two openings but the arch fell through long long ago. It is 471 m long, 90 m large, 88m at the highest point. The hole has a diameter of 20 m. And 300 tons of rock falls off a year. Samuel de Champlain sailed through the archway at high sea. A very amazing sight.
@deborah63@lesip Weighs 5,000.000 tons. And it does appear from a distance as a ship under sail. Champlain christened it in 1603 where boats can pass through at high seas.
