Celebrity Photographer John Russo http://www.johnrussophoto.com/ gave a talk last night and a Lighting Workshop today at Richard Stockton College. He graduated from Stockton in 1994 - he went there while I was teaching there, but I never had him as a student. I learned a lot from his workshop both using natural light and photography lighting equipment for studio work.
Retired educator - taught mathematics in high school, went back to graduate school, worked in research labs, and finally went back and taught computer science...
@davidrowe Thank you David, I enjoyed it very much and even learned some things :) @maggiemae Thank you Maggie; it was, John woul take a photo and then we could and he would discuss them @michaelelliott Thank you Michael, but the good thing is we can never get bored and we will remain active. @angievega Thank you Angie, and the way John explained things - it was not expensive, you just have to have the will to do it.
@naomi Thank you Naomi, John is a great lecturer and teacher, he kept it fun and informative. @bruni Thank you Bruni, it was interesting on many aspects. @kimmistephens Thank you Kimmi, I did learn a lot, by listenign, seeing and doing. @honeybees Thank you Rebecca, it was presented very well
@mstipe Thank you Michelle, John is a wealth of knowledge which he gladly imparts @grannysue Thank you Linda, and so much to hear and remember @webfoot Thank you Paul, it will help me remember the different aspects of the seminar
@buggus Thank you Oleta, one of the interesting things he said was you take a women portrait straight on and men on a slight angle to get a little bit of shadow in. @peterdegraaff Thank you Peter, it was a very interesting seminar, which he presented well - he had taught as an adjunct at Brooks Institute in California for 8 years. @stiggle Thank you Anja, I found it very interesting and informative
@pamfromcalgary Thank you Pam, learning on subjects that you enjoy is a lot of fun. @beamqueen Thank you Rachel, I tried to show a highly rated professional in action; Indoors he has the camera tethered to a big screen hdtv so he can immediately see the results in a large size to make minor adjustments - the eos 60d can be tethered in this manner
