Our View of the Venus Transit

At 4:45 pm clouds started to come in and they kept on filling up the sky, so no live view for me of the Venus transit across the sun.
Beautiful sky

We had a white-out sky, so none for us either. Hey, let's make a date to be ready for the next one, OK? :-D

Nice sky shot! Sorry about no Venus viewing. It was clear here, but I did not have the necessary filters, etc.

They really aren't that impressive anyway. They just look like a picture of a big overexposed spot taken with a dirty lens. Haha.
We had total cloud cover, there was no hope for me.

Gorgeous capture of the sky. This happened to me once when I was captured the various phases of a moon eclipse. I had taken so many pictures and when the moon was about to be completely in the shadow of earth, clouds came in and ruined all my effort.

@cscecil Thank you Carolyn, it is pretty in its own way

@mstipe Thank you Michelle, yeah I know, but ... :)
@sangwann Thank you Dione, we can't control the clouds, there is always another celestial event to try and capture :)
