A Triptych of Leaves and Dust

Further adventures with the Introduction to Scanography course on Lynda.com.

I was supposed to be practicing composition and layering today, but spent most of my time trying to work out why I get a weird rainbow banding on anything just off the glass.
I also added a layer of acetate to try stop me being so paranoid about scratching said glass - which did have that effect - but has amazing amount of static electricity. There's a point when you've totally lost the battle with dust and hairs that you just have to pretend it's part of the aesthetic. ;)

Most of my scans looked terrible out of the box, but became vaguely interesting after a run through Analog Efex Pro. These are the 'best' three for today.
And yes, it's the plaster on my finger that makes it art.
