Test Fire

Playing around with making a procedural jet engine flame following a tutorial by the excellently-named, 'Sir Floof'. I made a few modifications such as make the light levels pulse.
The sound clip is from freesound.org as usual.

Rendered in Eevee because I'm lazy and curious to see how well it would work.
The model is from last year when I attempted to model a Saturn V F-1 rocket exhaust.

Tutorial link.
Impressive. If I was to be nit picky I would say the turbulence structures aren't quite right. We're about to start a project modelling a gas turbine operating on hydrogen/methane mixtures. Will be interesting to see if we can get the turbulence structures right.

@fueast Interesting project!
I think if I wanted more realistic, I’d have to use a proper fluid sim in Blender. It would be interesting to see how well it worked. The Blender fluid sim was recently updated so I probably should go and try it at some point. This one is literally just some animated volumetric textures on an extruded cube.
