Should we blame the government or the people regarding poverty? Is it the people's choice to be poor? Does the government sentenced these people behind the bars of being poor?
Great question Dennis. I think in so many cases where poverty is so widespread, people just grow so accustomed to that way of life they lose hope of ever escaping. In responmse they make the best of the situation and go on with life. The bottom line is, the government definitely can do things to promote a way out of poverty, but I'm not sure they are willing to take that step.
indeed, it will take a lot but if the Goverment TRULY puts the people first - there is always a way out of this POVERTY.... such a big disparity in the social economic status in the Philippines... it is really a crying shame.... Love the photo a lot, dennis....
first off .photo is beautifully shot.second,in my opinion both has faults.Government has to help the people and people has to help the gov't...Then gradually..poverty will be eradicated..( in my opinion)..;)
Very powerful photo and thought-provoking question. I think at least in the US, it's a two-way street. I've overheard people who are on government assistance claim they don't need to get jobs because it's easier to ask for a handout. On the flip side, I know of people who work hard, struggle to make a better life for themselves and yet can't get help from the government. The system is definitely broken, and it will take a lot to fix it.
lalim friend.... nway...... in re with your sentiments... were all part of this. kung bakit naging ganito? suguro dahil na din sa mga "NAUNANG NAMUNO" ...
