"I am very lucky because I got beauty titles for 3 consecutive years. In the year 2013, I was crowned as “Miss Los Banos” Binibining Laguna in 2014 and recently, Mutya ng Pilipinas- Asia Pacific International 2015. I feel proud and overwhelm for all the winnings that I had in the beauty pageant that I joined. Truly, I am very thankful to our Almighty God for giving me the beauty that boost my confidence that will lead to open my door to fulfil my ambition in life. I am grateful also to my family and relatives especially to my mother who patiently accompanied me to all the affairs that I have been through, to my brothers who always cheered me up and gave moral support. And also, to the people of Los Banos who prayed for me for winning the title “Mutya ng Pilipinas- Asia Pacific International 2015”
After the pageant, I thought that being a beauty queen was enough to be known and become popular. I forgot that there are always responsibilities to be undertaken. I then realized that I should serve as the role model for the young ones and be the blessing to the needy people. My co-winners and I did some philanthropic endeavours such as dealing with the less fortunate people; mingling with handicapped and mentally retarded individuals. We tried to comfort them by giving foods, by showing tender love and care for them to feel that each and everyone of them is important and special.
We went to different places althroughout the Philippines, from Luzon, Visayas to Mindanao. The purpose of me touring the country, is to see how rich our culture and history, how amazing our tourist spots and destinations, at lastly to see how accomodating the Filipinoes are. In Mutya ng Pilipinas, our main purpose is to promote beauty tourism. It is a good stepping stone to promote everything that is beautiful about a Filipina and about the Philippines.
To the candidate who will be crowned tonight as Miss Los Banos 2015, please accept my challenge and advice- the true meaning of beauty lies on what you can do, not only to yourself but also to the people around you. What leagacy can you leave is that people will always remember you. Bear this in your mind- YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL inside and out. Good luck to all of you and God bless!
