Stunning start to the day today, not only did the snow on the hills look beautiful, it turned pink as the sun rose. This is taken looking towards Blencathra, one of the Lake District most beautiful mountains.
We spent the day in the hills near Keswick, we walked about 8 miles from the town centre to the top of Latrigg then back through the woods. After a lovely start it clouded over and snowed for much of the afternoon and evening.
Got some great photos early on in the day so it was hard to choose just one, this shot is unusual because of the light and colour so that's why it won the vote.
