The Lone Tree by inthecloud5

The Lone Tree

Today we went to Buttermere in the Lake District, this is the famous lone tree which has now lost many branches, but still makes for an iconic image particularly in the winter months when it’s free of leaves.

A beautiful sunny day, we walked on the path around the lake with plenty of photo stops along the way.
So beautiful. The lone tree looks like a sculpture and the colours on the water are fabulous.

@stevecameras I think a misty autumn dawn would be the ideal time to be there with the camera, but it's a beautiful place anytime.
