Taken from the south side of the River Thames looking towards the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben (or the Palace of Westminster and the Elizabeth Tower, to give them their official titles).
We went to Essex today to see my nephew and his fiancee who have just moved back to the UK from Singapore. Had a lovely lunch in a country pub with lots of catching up!
When we got back to Liverpool Street Station we walked along the river, across to the South Bank and back across Westminster Bridge, past Downing Street to Trafalgar Square, along Piccadilly and back to the hotel, 6 miles and by far the the best way to see London at night.
