Spiralling

On my wanderings around rainy London today I made my way to the Heal's store to see this wonderful spiral staircase.

I waited a while for someone to appear on the stairs, I think he was trying not to get in the way of the photo but actually I wanted him to be in it!

Designed by architect Cecil Brewer, the staircase was completed in 1916 and refurbished in time for its centenary, with a bespoke Bocci chandelier.
