Support

One of our civic buildings, St George's Hall, was illuminated tonight to show Liverpool's support for Manchester after the terrorist attack last night.

There's a sombre mood in Liverpool today, everybody seems to know someone who was there. Thankfully, all those we know have returned home safely but we feel such sadness and grief for the families whose lives have been changed forever by this tragedy.

When we were in the city centre tonight, we were unnerved to see armed police patrolling outside the theatre, waiting for the show to finish. It's so unusual to see armed police on the streets but may be something we'll have to get used to.
A horrific loss of children's, teens', adults' lives...wonderful tribute shot.

A lovely tribute to the horrific event of recent days. So glad to hear that people you knew who attended the event returned home safely.

I suppose it is better to see armed police on the streets rather than armed terrorists. Where is it all going to end.
