The description of this butterfly reads 'The Wall is aptly named after its habit of basking on walls, rocks and stony places' , maybe it was just confused when it landed on this grass right in front of me but I'm glad it did.
10 years ago this nature reserve in the Isle of Man was just a field, they built ponds, planted native trees and flowers and left it to grow. Now it's a haven for wildlife, we saw lots of birds and plenty of butterflies in just a few minutes.
